This I/O board for the SYM-1 SBC provides a DB9 connector for RS-232 communication, two mono 3.5mm jacks for cassette audio in and out and a 2.5mm jack for cassette remote control.

The SYM-1 I/O board provides access to the functionality exposed by the SYM-1’s T connector.

  • Cassette remote control (jumper configurable for cassette decks Type I-VIII) via a 2.5mm jack

In order to use this board a female DB-25 connector be soldered onto the T connector/pins of the SYM-1.  I recommend DigiKey part number 1173-125FEA-ND.
