Description

The RetroSpy Tristimulus XYZ Color Sensor features the OPT4048 tristimulus XYZ color sensor from Texas Instruments.  It is a single-chip high-resolution color sensor that measures four channels, each with specific engineered spectral responses. Three of the four channels closely match the CIE tristimulus spectra, with the fourth channel having a wide-band spectral response. Measurements of these channels can extract important characteristics of the lighting environment, such as (i) light intensity (lux), (ii) color in CIE XY, LUV coordinates, and (iii) Correlated Color Temperature.

  • Breaks out GND, 3.3V, SCL, SCA, INT and ADDR to a 2.54mm pitch through-hole header footprint.
  • Features 10k pullups on SCL, SCA and INT.
  • Easy to use Arduino library is available (search the Arduino Library Manager for OPT4048).
  • Mounted via 4 M2-sized mounting holes.
  • Measures 25mm by 19mm.
